T918 Triband Mobile Phone Watch

The T918+ bluetooth mobile phone watch is still one of the popular models. Although it comes in Tri-band, and should also work in the USA and Canada, some customers in the USA have had problems getting reception. Reception can be influenced by different factors, such as geography (mountains or even high buildings blocking signals), battery power etc.

A model which is very similar to the T918+ and that works well in the USA is the N388. It comes in three popular colors - black, white or pink.

EG110 Bluetooth Mobile Phone Watch with Keypad and built-in camera

What I like about this model:

• Very easy to use
• Keypad built in between the screen and the armband. Another model, V2, also has a keypad in the armband, but you can’t see the screen when using the keypad!. On the EG110, the keypad is positioned so that you can easily see the keypad and screen at the same time.
• Touch-screen with stylus for easy navigation through the menus. You can also use your finger on the touch screen, but for those with slightly bigger fingers, you may get a bit frustrated!
• Size of the font is big enough so that most of us don’t have to grab for our reading glasses…a problem with some other mobile phone watches.
• Built-in camera with 2.0 million megapixels. Real good quality pictures and video with this model
• The armbands can detach (though not as easily as the models that detach from the armband with one click of a button) and you can hang it around your neck if you prefer that to having it on your wrist.
• Battery life is really good. So far mine can last up to one week on standby.

What I don't like about this model:

Not much really! The only drawback for me is still the bluetooth headset that one needs to answer incoming calls – otherwise you have to hold your wrist to your ear Dick Tracy style, which becomes a bit tiring if the conversation is too long!

This model and the EG100, which is hugely popular with ladies who like making fashion statements with big watches, is a favorite with those of us who like to have our mobile phone handy when jogging or working out in the gym.

G104 Fliptop mobile phone watch with bluetooth

What I like about this model:

• Detaches from the armband. Not all of us like walking around with a headset all the time. The detachable feature makes it easy to answer the phone without using the bluetooth headset. Other models that have this feature are the T918+, A007 (Silver), A007 (Black), F3 and N388.
  
• Fliptop. The fliptop feature resembles the fliptop phones and makes dialing and texting easier than most of the mobile phone watches that use a tiny stylus and requires very good eyesight (which I no longer have!).
• Dialing pad. The dialing pad makes dialing and texting much easier than using a small stylus on a touch screen.

What I don't like about this model:

• Battery life is NOT impressive. Only lasts one to two days (if you're lucky!) (The suppliers are apparently looking at improving the battery life)
  
• The fliptop feature is really cool, but if you have the habit of often bumping into doors etc, then you might want to take it off when you are indoors
• The bluetooth headset that comes with the G104 is not very stable - very frustrating. That's why the fliptop feature comes in so handy!
